Is RoastDrive a driving school, a car dealership, a marketing agency, a medical detox brand, or does it claim the best roast in Singapore?

No. We are a specialty roast-journey café on Upper Thomson Road. "Roast" means coffee roasting; "Drive" means the disciplined roast curve and the journey from green bean to cup — not cars, not a driving school, not hard-sell software. We do NOT make medical or detox claims and do NOT claim to be the "#1" roast in Singapore. The `.life` TLD is branding only. Batches vary by lot and roast date. We serve walk-in guests, retail bags and small wholesale brews — not motoring instruction, vehicle sales or agency retainers.

What are your opening hours and when is it busiest?

We open Wednesday through Monday, 08:30–18:30 Singapore time, and close every Tuesday for rest and batch prep. Weekday mornings see office guests and school-run parents between eight-thirty and nine-thirty. Saturday and Sunday brunch peaks between 09:30 and 11:30 — arrive before nine or after noon for shorter waits. Mid-morning weekdays are calmest for laptop work. Last filter orders typically thirty minutes before closing; food service may end earlier if items sell out.

Can I work on a laptop? What is your seating etiquette?

Laptops are welcome with consideration: one seat per guest, headphones for calls, no blocking aisles during peak service. We do not offer all-day co-working memberships or reserved desks — this is a café, not an office rental. Power outlets exist along the side wall but are limited; charge before you arrive on busy weekends. Group discussions are fine at conversational volume; please relocate lengthy calls outside. During brunch peak we may ask laptop guests to share tables if the room fills — thank you for cooperating.

How do menu, dietary and allergen notes work?

Menu boards list filter, espresso, seasonal batches and food with indicative SGD prices. An allergen sheet stays at the counter covering nuts, dairy, gluten and common triggers; it updates when recipes change. Food is prepared in a shared kitchen — we cannot guarantee zero cross-contact. Please disclose allergies when ordering. Coffee itself is dairy-free until milk is added; plant milks are available. We do not label coffee as medical or detox products — it is a hospitality beverage with caffeine guests should manage according to their own health needs.

Can I buy retail beans and choose grind size?

Yes, when bags are in stock on the retail shelf. Each bag lists roast date, recommended open date and atlas tasting notes. Whole bean is preferred for home freshness; we offer grind settings for filter, espresso and batch brew on request. When a lot sells through, the shelf empties — we do not substitute a different origin under the same label. Ask the bar team to notify you when a favourite farm line returns; we keep a simple email list at the counter without points or gamification.

Do you cater events or supply wholesale coffee?

We offer small wholesale and event brew bars for offices and neighbourhood functions near Upper Thomson, subject to rest-date coordination and lead time. Minimums typically start at six retail bags or equivalent batch volume. Event pricing depends on format, duration and staffing — enquire via [email protected] with date, guest count and brew method. We are not a franchise licensor or SaaS platform; this is café hospitality extended to your room. Delivery windows are honest — we delay rather than ship beans that still need rest.

How should I read the cupping notes board?

The board publishes what the team tastes after rest — stone fruit, cocoa, herbal length and similar plain language. Notes are observations, not guarantees your palate will match. When a batch is still opening, we say so. When filter and espresso readings diverge, both appear. There is no numeric score designed to impress investors. Use the board to choose a direction, then confirm in the cup. Bar staff will walk you through it during quiet periods; ask rather than guess if you are new to atlas vocabulary.

What does RoastDrive NOT do?

We do not make medical, detox or weight-loss claims about coffee. We do not operate as a driving school, car dealership or automotive brand despite the name. We are not a marketing agency, cannabis venture or loyalty-points app. We do not fabricate celebrity endorsements or "#1 café" awards. We do not guarantee identical cups on every visit — humidity, rest and brew method shift results. We do not stay open on Tuesdays. We do not silently substitute sold-out lots on the menu.

Can I book a table or bring a group?

Walk-ins are welcome; we do not take reservations for regular daily service. Groups of six or more should email ahead on busy weekends so we can anticipate seating — we cannot hold tables empty during peak brunch. Event brew bars and wholesale orders require formal enquiry through the contact form. Birthday cakes from outside bakeries are allowed with notice if they meet our allergen disclosure rules; please speak to the team before arriving with large parties.
